This policy explains what information PrepOasis collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account details you give us: name, e-mail address, account type (student, teacher, parent), and optionally your school and class level, gender and year of birth.

What you do on PrepOasis: practice answers, test answers and scores, comments, discussion posts, and the classes you join.

Basic technical data needed to keep you signed in and the site working.

Visit statistics

We count page views to see how PrepOasis is used. Each count records the page, the time, the type of device, the website you came from (if any) and your approximate location (country, region and city) as reported by our hosting provider. Your browser keeps a random number so repeat visits aren't counted twice.

We do not store your IP address, and these counts are only ever shown to PrepOasis administrators as totals. Your gender and year of birth, if you give them, are private and appear only in totals too.

If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal, your visits are not counted.

How we use it

To run PrepOasis: show your progress, let teachers mark tests, let linked parents follow their child, and calculate ranks and medals.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who can see what

Teachers see the work of students in their classes. Parents see only the children who shared a link code with them. Administrators can see all accounts to keep the service safe.

Discussion posts and question comments are public. Students appear by first name and last initial.

Advertising and cookies

PrepOasis shows ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.

Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to PrepOasis and/or other sites on the Internet. How Google uses this data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

You can turn off personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com), or opt out of other vendors' cookies at https://www.aboutads.info/choices.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown.

Ads are never shown during a timed test. In practice sessions an ad may appear below a question you have already answered, never beside the answer options.

Children

If you are under 13, please use PrepOasis with a parent's or teacher's permission.

Your choices

You can edit your profile at any time. To delete your account and data, contact us.
