IQ Test MCQs, mock tests & preparation
IQ, intelligence & reasoning tests. IQ and intelligence tests measure how quickly you spot patterns: number and letter series, analogies, odd-one-out, coding-decoding and figure puzzles. They appear in army, job and admission tests worldwide.
What’s in the IQ Test
- Number & letter series
- Analogies
- Odd one out
- Coding–decoding
- Non-verbal patterns
What an IQ test measures
The IQ or intelligence tests used in Pakistan — in the initial tests for the Army, Navy and Air Force, at ISSB, and in many recruitment tests — measure reasoning speed rather than knowledge. They usually have a verbal part (word and number problems in English) and a non-verbal part (shapes and figures).
Common question types include number and letter series, analogies, odd-one-out, coding and decoding, blood relations, directions, figure series, mirror and water images, paper folding, embedded figures and matrix completion.
How to improve your score
IQ scores improve a lot with practice because most questions follow a small number of patterns. Practise each question type until you can spot the rule in a few seconds, then move to mixed timed sets. Read explanations for every question you miss — the aim is to learn the pattern, not memorise the answer.
Do not spend too long on one item; in most IQ tests every question carries the same mark, so skip and return.
FAQ
Can practice raise my IQ test score?
Practice makes the question types familiar and much faster to solve — that is what lifts scores.
