What’s in the FSc / Intermediate

FSc / Intermediate exams

FSc (Intermediate) is the two-year Higher Secondary School Certificate taken after Matric, with Part I (first year, class XI) and Part II (second year, class XII). Exams are held by provincial and federal Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE / FBISE). Main groups are Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, ICS (computer science), I.Com and FA (humanities).

Each paper usually has an objective part made of MCQs and a subjective part of short and long questions; science subjects also have practical exams. Board schemes of study and marks distribution are revised from time to time, so check your board's latest paper pattern.

Why FSc MCQs matter twice

FSc marks count in your entry-test aggregate, and the same textbook content is the base for MDCAT, ECAT, NUST NET and ETEA. Practising chapter-wise FSc MCQs therefore helps both your board result and your entry test.

How to prepare

Study each chapter from the textbook, then do its MCQs and short questions on PrepOasis. Most objective questions come from definitions, key facts, units, formulae and diagrams in the book, so read carefully. Write long questions by hand at least once to practise presentation. Before the exam, solve past board papers under time.

FAQ

Are the MCQs chapter-wise?

Yes — every MCQ sits under subject → class → chapter → subtopic (SLO), so you can practise exactly what you're studying.
