Matric MCQs, mock tests & preparation

Matric (IX–X) board exams. Matric board papers have an objective MCQ section in every subject. Practise chapter by chapter and revise the ones you missed.

What’s in the Matric

Matric exams

Matric (Secondary School Certificate) covers classes IX and X and is examined by the provincial and federal boards. Students take the Science group (with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Computer Science) or the Arts/Humanities group, along with compulsory subjects such as English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies and Mathematics.

Papers usually have an objective MCQ part and a subjective part, plus practicals for science subjects. Your board publishes the current scheme of studies and paper pattern.

How to prepare

Work through each textbook chapter, then practise its MCQs and short questions. MCQs at Matric level test exact definitions, units, formulae and facts, so learning them precisely brings easy marks. Practise numericals in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics regularly and revise with past papers in the last month.

A strong Matric base also makes FSc and later entry tests much easier.
